Macintosh SE/30 recapping service (premium), all board revisions, all electrolytic capacitors are replaced. The Mac SE/30 board is recapped using high quality capacitors. NOTE this is NOT a repair service, the Macintosh SE/30 needs to be in working order.

  • Removal of existing capacitors.
  • Clean-up and preparation of area.
  • Replace all surface mount capacitors using Polymer capacitors.
  • Replace 2 x Axial capacitors using high quality standard electrolytic capacitors (these are not available in axial form).

The Macintosh SE/30 was released in the UK in 1989 which came with an 68030 Motorola CPU running at 16mhz. It came with either 1Mb or 4Mb ram which is upgradeable to 128Mb. The Mac SE/30 was discontinued in 1991 and was replaced with the Macintosh Classic II.

  • Do you accept boards from outside the UK?

    YES! We do and the process is not dissimilar from UK one. The only difference is the package requires a customs form (CN22) which every post office will be able to assist with, it simply states what is in the package, why is it being exported (repair or other) and value (put what you feel the value is, makes zero difference to us. Once the board is completed, we do the same in reverse, this should not attract customs fees as its going back to the origin country 'repaired'. Return shipping costs are requested at the checkout, to do this add any of our recapping services to your shopping basket and then at the checkout simply fill in the billing and shipping form including your telephone and email address (important) and click the 'Request a quote' link. You will receive an email within 24hrs with the shipping cost and you can then proceed with the order by clicking on the 'Complete your order' within the email. There is no need to leave the checkout page open your web browser.
