Super Nintendo (SNES) Recapping Service inc all board revisions. This service is a maintenance service and not a repair service however recapping will extend the life of the SNES.

 

The service includes:

  • Testing of the SNES
  • Removal of through hole capacitors.
  • Any leakage cleaned up and prepped.
  • Replacement Electrolytic capacitors soldered in place
  • Final testing and video taken of unit working.

  • Retest (Video, Audio, Floppy Boot, SCSI (if HDD is present).

Overseas orders are very welcome and we are able to provide you return shipping costs at the checkout. To do this add any of our recapping services to your shopping basket and then at the checkout simply fill in the billing and shipping form including your telephone and email address (important) and click the 'Request a quote' link. You will receive an email within 24hrs with the shipping cost and you can then proceed with the order by clicking on the 'Complete your order' within the email. There is no need to leave the checkout page open your web browser.

Atari 520 STFM / 1040 STFM Recapping Service inc PSU
Atari 520 STFM / 1040 STFM recapping service including recapping of STFM PSU, all board revisions. This service includes both recapping of the Atari STFM motherboard and PSU.
  • Check of the STFM motherboard and PSU before recapping is begun.
  • Removal of existing capacitors.
  • Clean-up and preparation of area.
  • Replace using Panasonic/Wurth/KEMET capacitors.
  • Retest (Video, Audio, Floppy Boot) using diagnostic cartridge.
We also provide a recapping service for the  Atari 520 STe / 1040 STE / 4160 STE and Atari 520 STF / Atari 1040 STF   What do you need to send? All we need is the mainboard and PSU, so please only send the board and PSU in its metal shielding. If however you choose to send the whole unit, there is an option to do that also via the choices below.

PC Engine DUO Recapping Service (Standard)
PC Engine Duo (NEC) recapping service recapping service (Standard), all board revisions, all electrolytic capacitors are replaced. The NEC PC Engine DUO mainboard is recapped using high quality capacitors. NOTE this is NOT a repair service, the PC Engine DUO needs to be in working order, this is preventative maintenance. What's included:
  • Test before hand
  • Disassemble unit.
  • Removal of existing capacitors.
  • Clean-up and preparation of the capacitor areas.
  • Replace all surface mount capacitors.
  • Replace through hole electrolytic capacitors.
  • Test out of the shell.
  • Reassemble and final testing.
For this service the whole unit will need to be sent inc controller (not PSU).
