These boards are based on the A4000 Rev B motherboard and organized by Paul Rezendes (ACILL) and the and was directly funded by the contributions of the Amiga Community.

What’s included:

  • Amiga A4000D Replica PCB in Black
  • All SMD ceramic capacitors and resistors soldered

 

You will need to source further parts to make this a functional motherboard.

Amiga A4000 PSU recapping service – NOTE this is NOT a repair service.

  • Removal of existing capacitors.
  • Cleanup and preparation of area.
  • Replace using Panasonic/Wurth/KEMET capacitors.
  • Test output voltages (not under load)

Recapping the Amiga A4000 PSU is a good preventive measure, the reason being these capacitors are under alot of stress (which they are designed to take of course) however with age they start getting tired which could lead to issues later on.

All that needs to be sent is the Amiga 4000 PSU itself.

Amiga A4000 Capacitor Kit Polymer (Premium). Polymer capacitors compared to the ‘standard’ liquid electrolyte capacitors, organic polymer is a solid electrolyte, so these capacitors will never leak. These types are still within the Commodore specification compared to other type of capacitors that are used like tantalum or polymer tantalums which should be avoided.

We only use quality capacitors and use these in our own Amiga A4000 premium recapping service.
