Atari 520 STF / 1040 STF recapping service including recapping of STF PSU, all board revisions. This service includes both recapping of the Atari STF motherboard and PSU.
- Check of the STF motherboard and PSU before recapping is begun.
- Removal of existing capacitors.
- Clean-up and preparation of area.
- Replace using Panasonic/Wurth/KEMET capacitors.
- Retest (Video, Audio, Floppy Boot) using diagnostic cartridge.
We also provide a recapping service for the Atari 520 STe / 1040 STE / 4160 STE
What do you need to send?
All we need is the mainboard and PSU, so please only send the board and PSU in its metal shielding. If however you choose to send the whole unit, there is an option to do that also via the choices below.

Sega Triple Bypass installation service for Mega Drive / Genesis
Sega Triple Bypass Installation service for Sega Mega Drive & Genesis MK1 or Mk2. Now you can have the best RGB video and audio from your Sega Mega Drive or Sega Genesis, this installation service includes a full refurbishment of your console and includes recapping.
The service includes:
- Testing of Sega Mega Drive/Genesis beforehand
- Full recapping of the mainboard
- Installation of the Sega Triple Bypass Modification for RGB
- Complete Audio modification to go through Triple Bypass - Aidio will now comeout of the mini DIN.
- Add fixes to reduce jailbars and 'RAM' noise (add pullup resistors and 2 capacitors)

What is the Triple Bypass Modification?
- The modification uses the latest THS7374 amp and uses bypass circuitry to improve RGB signal clarity.

PC Engine DUO Recapping Service (Standard)
PC Engine Duo (NEC) recapping service recapping service (Standard), all board revisions, all electrolytic capacitors are replaced. The NEC PC Engine DUO mainboard is recapped using high quality capacitors. NOTE this is NOT a repair service, the PC Engine DUO needs to be in working order, this is preventative maintenance.
