  • Replace using Panasonic/Wurth/KEMET or other tier 1 capacitors.
Recapping the Amiga A1000 is a good preventive measure, and with age they start getting tired which could lead to issues later on, remember these are 35 plus years old now. All that needs to be sent is the Amiga 1000 motherboard. We do also offer a recapping service for the Amiga 1000 PSU [space_40]

A1200 FPU Onboard Mod
A1200 FPU Upgrade (Onboard)
A1200 FPU upgrade (onboard) which includes socket, FPU and installation.
What does the modification do?
This FPU modification adds a real FPU to the A1200 motherboard, there has always been a place (U0) for an onboard FPU but it was never added. This is a perfect compliment for a stock A1200 or one with an accelerator without an FPU option, for example The TF1230 or any standard ram upgrade like the 11Mb Fast Ram upgrade. However there are a couple of limitations of adding an onboard FPU.
  • The FPU will be using the CPU clock which is at 14Mhz, which means the FPU will be running at 14Mhz
  • The FPU will be disabled if you use a 040 or 060 accelerator, for example TF1260. This is because both the 040 and 060 processors do not acknowledge external FPUs as you can get those processors with built in FPUs.
This modification is available as an option on our A1200 recapping service, ReAmiga 1200 and Refurbished units. What is Refurbished? Each Commodore Amiga A500 mainboard is professionally recapped and deep cleaned using a Ultrasonic cleaner, bathed using deionised water and professional grade PCB/Flux cleaning solution. Once completed it is dried and a full diagnostic test is completed. Each unit is thoroughly inspected make sure the Amiga 500 worked as it did when it first came from the factory back in the 1980’s.   What is Ultrasonic cleaning? Ultrasonic cleaning is a process that uses ultrasound (usually from 20–40 kHz) to agitate a fluid, this fluid is made up for this specific job which is to clean and remove any flux left over from recapping. We use deionised water (deionized depending where your from) and professional grade PCB cleaner.
