Amiga A600 recapping service (Premium) using hybrid polymer capacitors (these never leak again!), all board revisions. NOTE this is NOT a repair service.
Our Amiga A600 recapping service (Premium) uses hybrid polymer capacitors (these never leak again!), all board revisions. NOTE this is NOT a repair service.
Check of the board before recapping is begun (any faults found before recapping will be reported back)
Removal of existing capacitors (both SMD and radial capacitors).
Clean-up and preparation of area.
Replace using either Panasonic/Wurth/KEMET polymer capacitors.
Retest (Video, Audio, Floppy Boot, CF Card boot).
Once your board is returned we strongly suggest testing the board before adding any accessories or putting it back in any shielding (if it was sent without its metal shielding). Many issues arise when the board is then subjected to add-ons being installed or put back together without first knowing the board was working in its bare minimum state (PSU, Video/Audio only).

Product FAQ
What is Ultrasonic PCB Cleaning?
Ultrasonic cleaning is a process that uses ultrasound (usually from 20–40 kHz) to agitate a fluid, this fluid is made up for this specific job which is to clean and remove any flux left over from recapping. We use deionised water (deionized depending where your from) and professional grade PCB cleaner.
An example of the process: https://youtu.be/m4mbKPySfLE?si=wCesMqEPGuyudalm
YES! We do and the process is not dissimilar from UK one. The only difference is the package requires a customs form (CN22) which every post office will be able to assist with, it simply states what is in the package, why is it being exported (repair or other) and value (put what you feel the value is, makes zero difference to us.
Once the board is completed, we do the same in reverse, this should not attract customs fees as its going back to the origin country 'repaired'.

Notes:
Powering the A600/PiStorm
It is possible if you have a weak PSU or the Amiga 600 has not been recapped you may see instability issues as with any accelerator, you have a few options all of which are available below, If your using a Pi Zero2 then it is unlikely you will need to apply additional power. A Pi 3A+ can consume more power, but this is not often an issue until you start connecting USB devices, you have a few options below:
You can add extra power via a floppy power connector splitter (available below) which is a new cable which splits the floppy power to power both your internal floppy drive and the PiStorm via its built in Molex connector (DO NOT ADD POWER OTHER THAN FROM THE AMIGA ITSELF OR TRY AND USE IT TO POWER OTHER DEVICES).
Make sure your Amiga has been recapped, we offer 2 options Standard and Premium.
Purchase a new Amiga PSU of which we also offer 2 versions, A600 Standard PSU or A600 Boost PSU which also as a 5VDC line adjustment to give a perfect 5 Volts to the Amiga 600.
We always suggest recapping in the first instance as tired caps can cause other issues like poor sound or prevent the Amiga booting up.
NOTE: PiStorm600 is a community project and will require some knowledge of the Amiga. Hardware which comes with a 1 year RTB warranty. hints and tips are available via the following Discord channel https://discord.com/invite/j6rPtzxaNW Also this product is still in BETA and while compatibility is very high, updates are always being released to increase compatibility with software and games.
We support developers by donating a percentage of sales, the PiStorm A600 adaptors are professionally manufactured and are RoHS compliant. This project was designed by Lemaru
*Using the Raspberry Pi Zero Model 2 is possible as mentioned but you do lose a little in performance.

Cleanup and preparation of area.
Replace using Panasonic/Wurth/KEMET capacitors.

Recapping the Amiga A4000 PSU is a good preventive measure, the reason being these capacitors are under alot of stress (which they are designed to take of course) however with age they start getting tired which could lead to issues later on.
All that needs to be sent is the Amiga 4000 PSU itself.
