Description
BFG9060 is a new accelerator for the Amiga A4000, A3000, A3000T* and A4000T developed by Matthias Heinrichs. The card slots into the existing CPU slot on the Amiga motherboard and provides a CPU socket that supports:
- 68040 running at 25Mhz (our cards are set up for 68060 CPUs’)
- 68060 running at 50/75/100MHz (CPU heatsink and fan high recommended with a REV 6 CPU) LC/EC variants 50Mhz is suggested.
This accelerator also has 128Mb Fast Ram which is automatically detected by the Amiga.
Installation of the BFG9060:
Hardware
Simply swap over your current CPU card (3630, Cyberstorm) and replace with the BFG9060.
Mainboard Jumpers
The BFG9060 uses an internal 25 MHz clock provided by your Amiga, and all clock-related jumpers on the mainboard have to be set accordingly.

Software:
To get the best performance, you will have to install the (mmu.library) available from https://aminet.net/package/util/libs/MMULib. And add the following line to the MMU-Configuration found in ENVARC:MMU-configuration:
SetCacheMode from 0x08000000 size 0x08000000 Valid CopyBack
Caching of Z3 is now enabled:
RAM-Cards, like BigRam or the Z3-Fastlane could not be cached and lost a lot of performance. You can enable caching for them via mmu.library now. If you have Z3-IO cards you want to disable caching.
MMU-library configuration would look like this:
Enable caching: For SetCacheMode {base} {size} Valid CopyBack
Disable caching: For SetCacheMode {base} {size} CacheInhibit NonSerial Imprecise
A working MMU configuration is available for download here
Options:
We are able to supply 68060RC50 (FPU/MMU) REV 6 as well as 68060EC50 CPU’s.
*A3000T is very picky and has not been tested, so if being used with an A3000T the card is sold as seen.
For every BFG9060 sold we donate a percentage of the sale to Matthias Heinrichs to support further developments and we also support our builders.
