[space_40]
Amiga A1200 mechanical keyboard (also for Amiga A500) was developed by A1200.NET. The keyboard itself has been designed from the ground up and is fully compatible with the Amiga A1200, and Amiga A500 (with optional adaptor board) and is a direct plug-and-play replacement using the included ribbon cable for the A1200 and for Amiga 500 users the keyboard requires the optional Amiga 500 daughter-board, the controller mounts on the top right of the keyboard and connects via a custom U-shaped ribbon cable beneath the keyboard, then links to the A500 motherboard through a serial wire mirroring the original mounting location and ensuring perfect compatibility.
Designed into the new Amiga A1200 mechanical keyboard is a modular controller bay, different daughter boards can be added to adapt the same base keyboard to various Amiga models thus allowing DIY modules to be developed by individuals or hardware enthusiasts.
The keyboard is 100% compatible with the following:
Motherboards and adaptors:
Asahi Amiga A1200 Case Haruku Green manufactured by A1200.netWhat’s included?
Top case including enhancements
Bottom case including enhancements
Enhanced bottom trapdoor with extra vents.
Enhanced rear trapdoor + extra plastic holder DVI / VGA shaped hole.
Rubber feet
Set of screws
How are these brand new?
In 2016 840 Amiga users made it possible in supporting a Kickstarter to reproduce the Amiga 1200 case, the new cases are made using Injection Molding manufacturing technique to produce top and bottom shells as well as trapdoors and parts. The process implies the use of 3 new moulds, the first one is for the top shell, second mould for the bottom shell and last one for trapdoors and parts, all produced using brand new moulds.
What is the Asahi Series of A1200 cases?
The Asahi series of A1200 cases are limited edition, once gone, they are gone. The word ‘Asahi’ is a Japanese word that means “morning” and “sunlight”. It is derived from the Japanese words asa meaning “morning” and hi meaning “sunlight”. The name symbolizes the start of a new day, and is associated with hope and new beginnings. The limited edition series are available in the following colours:
Akuma Red – The word ‘Akuma’ in Japanese means ‘Devil’. With Devil Red we reference the Red Demon. A historic figure and one of the four Guardians of the Tokugawa in Japanese history. This color Red is a very dark Wine Red but brightens up to a blood red when light emits through it.Arashi Grey – The word ‘Arashi’ in Japanese means ‘Storm’. The case is a very dark grey, but when light emits through it turns into a brighter grey with clear blue accents.
Haruku Green – The word ‘Haruku’ is the Japanese word for ‘Hulk’. This is an ode to the big hulks of oaks you find in Japan. The case is a very dark green, but when light emits through it turns into a brighter richer green.
Shinkai Blue –The word ’Shinkai’ in Japanese means ‘Deep Sea/Ocean’ The case is a rich blue translucent which was close to the Commodore Blue but allow the right light and viewing angle to give it a dark purple hue. The blue brightens up when light emits through it.
Enhancements galore:
The Amiga community has never died and some have produced some great add-ons over the years to make sure the Amiga is still relevant and useful today as it was back in the 80’s/early 90s and these cases take full advantage of that weather that’s simply transferring your existing motherboard from your existing Amiga 1200 or have a luxury of installing a MiST FPGA Board. Below are few more enhancements:
External CF Adaptor
A CF slot can be opened up on the side of the A1200 case to allow easy access to what would be the CF card within the A1200 itself.
MiST FPGA Board
MiST is a FPGA based modern board that implements classic 16bit computers like the Commodore Amiga, Atari ST and 8bit systems like the Commodore 64, ZX-Spectrum, MSX, Atari XL/VCS, Apple II, Colecovision, Sega Master System, NES, SNES as well as Arcade machines. The primary difference between the MiST is that its NOT emulation.
The Amiga A1200 purple case has mounts to mount the MiST FPGA.
Raspberry PI
Yes you can mount a Raspberry PI 2/3 within the new A1200 case with the use of the mounts already part of the case for a nice clean solution.
Keyrah V3
Keyrah V3 for the Amiga 1200/600, C64, VIC 20 and C16Keyrah V3 is an IO adaptor that allows you to use the original keyboards of the Commodore Amiga 600 and 1200, Commodore 64, VIC-20 and C-16 within their respective cases. The purpose of this you can then install a Raspberry PI which uses the original keyboard of that computer and providing 2 x D9 ports. The new Amiga 1200 case has mounts are located at middle top of bottom shell. This location make the keyboard adapter available for Raspberry Pi or MiST board. Original Amiga 1200 keyboard ribbon will fit nicely just at the right place on the keyboard adapter board. I/O connectors are accessible through rear panel I/O slots.
So what are the differences with the original Commodore case?
All screws are secured with metal brass inserts. No more broken plastic clips.
The bottom trapdoor has extra vents for a better case air flow.
2 new rear trapdoors are available to accommodate VGA and DVI. The third one is a Plain door.
Gotek Drive 0.96" Display pre-flashed with FlashFloppy for and not limited to Acorn, Amstrad, Amiga, Apple, Atari, Spectrum, DOS / IBM XT PC, MSX.
This is the latest Gotek floppy emulator for retro computers with 3.5" floppy disk drive bay, or for use externally or in a caddy. This will also work Amstrad / Spectrum or computers with 3" disk drives or old PCs with 5.25" drives and such. You will require the correct floppy IDE or Ribbon connection cables and 3D printed mount. Most computers can use the ones supplied within the machine and you can do a straight swap out for the existing old floppy drive (such as in DOS PCs and Amigas) but some machines may need extra leads/connectors (such as Spectrum +3).
Flashed with current latest FlashFloppy firmware and ready to use. Once installed, just insert a USB memory stick with your disk images/files on. Your computer will then boot from this floppy emulator or can also use it as a second drive.

ACA1234 Amiga A1200 accelerator is the latest 68030 CPU based card from Individual Computers. This is far more than just another 68030 accelerator, it adds high-speed mass storage, improving the overall speed experience of your A1200 even more than the IDE speeder does, which is also available on this model. With 8MBytes of local flash memory and a local CF card slot, the ACA1234 is ideal for the hobbyist or power user.
While iComps IDE speeder technology accelerates the onboard internal IDE port to raw transfer rates of up to 14MBytes/s (resulting in every-day performance of around 5MBytes/s with CF cards, or up to 9MB/s with physical hard drives), the ACA1234 onboard CF card slot can exceed 9MBytes/s. Other than competing products, both options do not require opening the computer or even removing chips from their socket. The IDE speedup to PIO mode 4 is activated with a software setting. NOTE: The IDE speeder feature is not available if connected to an ACA500Plus.
The ACA1234 boards take memory performance to the limit of what a 68030 processor can transfer in a burst sequence: It's a sequence of four 32-bit transfers in four CPU cycles, You therefore get the best performance per MHz compared to other 68030 accelerators both modern and and legacy 68030 designs. In addition to that, the ACA1234 makes sure that the exec base in burst-capable, cacheable 32-bit fastmem.
Another huge improvement over older accelerators is memory mapping to the legacy 0x00c0.0000 address. This is the location where many A500 games expect a trapdoor memory expansion. The ACA1234 cards give a good compatibility boost only because of this little chunk of memory in the right place.
The ACA1234 is PCMCIA-friendly: It will not disable the onboard PCMCIA slot, so you can continue to use a networking card or a CF card adapter in that slot. For the easiest-possible transfer of files, drivers for a PCMCIA-CF card reader are included in the flash of this accelerator card. You can access PC-formatted and Amiga-formatted cards with ease, straight out of the box. you can even boot from a CF card in the PCMCIA slot..
Customers who are returning to the "hobby Amiga" often have the problem of lost installation disks, or even a defective floppy drive after all these years. Installing a system becomes almost impossible in such cases. The ACA1234 includes media to install a system in such a case as well: Both ROM and install disks (Workbench 3.1) are licensed from Hyperion and included in the flash of the ACA1234. The installer, which has been successfully used with the ACA500Plus and Buddha Plus One IDE Controller as well, installs a system way faster than it will ever be possible with floppy drives - and it only take a few mouse clicks. This includes automatic partitioning of media that's larger than 4GBytes!
All features
127 MByte RAM auto-configuration
1 MByte RAM reserved for fast Kickstart re-mapping (you can also kickstart from other roms including 3.2).
8 MByte flash for installation files and Kickstart ROMs
Local CF card slot as high-speed mass storage
IDE speeder technology for read and write
Drivers for PCMCIA-CF card reader in flash
ROM and OS 3.1 in flash, extremely fast system installation
Clock rate can be reduced (reset required)
Card enable/disable in software without power-cycling
Faster clockport gives 55% speed increase
Field-proven high A1200 compatibility
Memory of the ACA1234 is auto-configuring. This means that all memory is available from a power-up without installing any software on the computer.
If you do not require full speed, the card can be slowed down in order to save power or reduce heat. You can also increase the speed beyond rated clock rate for a trial period - if you find that your CPU can accept a certain level of overclocking, you can purchase a permanent overclocking license.
Some software does not like accelerated execution. For these cases, the ACA1234 can be switched off and put into a "stealth mode": This will allow you to run such software without having to remove the accelerator. Returning to 68030 operation does not require the computer to be power-cycled.
The clockport of the ACA1234 can either take an RTC module, or a different clock port device. Operation of such a clock port device is 55% faster than with the internal clock port of the A1200 computer, provided the drivers support the address of this port. This function is available in all modes of operation on an A1200 computer, and on select ACA500plus models with updated CPLD.
Last not least, the ACA1234 features iComp's field-proven A1200 motherboard interface. Some A1200 main boards have been delivered with the wrong timing components and require modification for reliable use with accelerators. With our interface, the ACA1234 is less likely to require these board patches. Although the ACA1234 will work reliably with any patch level of the A1200 main board, you may still want to perform these patches, as they also fix graphics glitches with Super-Hires resolutions of the AGA chipset.
Package contains:
Accelerator with RAM and CPU assembled
Short installation manual
You will need in addition to that:
Motherboard patches as described by Commodore: A1200 capacitors E123C and E125C may need to be removed.
A proper power supply that provides good regulation, even when loaded with expansions like the CA-PSU
If desired, a PCMCIA-CF card reader
Processors on this card are used and have scratches.

At least Kickstart 3.1 is required - (Kickstart 3.0 is not supported)
ACA1221LC accelerator Amiga A1200 and ACA500Plus comes with the 68EC020 processor (guaranteed to run at 26.67MHz) and 16MBytes physical memory. 11.2MBytes of this physical memory can be used as fastmem, and 1 MByte is reserved for a fast copy of the Kickstart ROM. The CPU speed can be switched in four steps between 14MHz and 40MHz. Overclocking the card beyond 26.67MHz will require active cooling and a very good power supply like the A1200 Boost PSU or the highly specced CA-PSU ; operation at this high speed is not guaranteed.
The ACA1221lc features iComps IDE speeder technology that accelerates reading from the internal IDE port, this IDE speeder does not require opening the computer or even removing chips from their socket. The IDE speedup to PIO mode 3 is activated with a software setting and reaches a raw data transfer rate of 10.2 MBytes per second, which results in every-day performance of 3.6MBytes/s with fast CF cards. Fast hard drives with cache may exceed 7MBytes/s performance. The IDE speeder feature is not available if connected to an ACA500 or ACA500plus.
The ACA1221lc is prepared for use with our forthcoming ACA2000, where it will provide up to 11.9MBytes of fastmem. More memory configurations allow for using Zorro cards without conflicts.
ACATool is required to unlock some of the features like:
MapROM - Load up other kickstart roms like AmigaOS 3.2 without the need of physical ROMS
Loading of the onboard Kickstart ROM file without losing valuable RAM
