X-Surf 100 for all Commodore Amigas with Zorro Slots

 £ 110.83 Excl. VAT

X-Surf 100 is a networking card for all Amiga computers with Zorro slots. For the Amiga A2000 or Zorro-daughterboards for the A1200, it will run at Z2 speed. If installed in an Amiga A3000, A4000 or the respective tower versions, it will run at Z3 speeds, which is up to five times faster than Z2.

Key features:

  • 100MBit physical link rate
  • Sana-II device for use with OS2.0 up to OS3.9
  • Officially supported in the Linux-m68k kernel
  • Space- and power-saving design
  • Gold plated Zorro contacts and stainless steel metal bracket
  • Local expansion port for our high-speed USB module “RapidRoad”

Drivers can be downloaded from here.

  • TCP/IP stack such as Miami DX, AmiTCP, Genesis (included in OS3.9) or Roadshow
  • Sufficient RAM and 68020 CPU or higher
  • Kickstart/Workbench 2.0 or higher
  • File transfer method for drivers to be transferred to the Amiga

Transfer rates of over 1600kBytes/s have been measured with the X-Surf-100. Please note that the classic Amiga architecture and the current TCP/IP stacks for the Amiga don’t allow saturating a 100MBit Ethernet link. Performance in your system may be slower due to CPU performance and programs running in multitasking.

Please note that we cannot guarantee the X-Surf-100 to work in third-party Zorro boards as used in tower conversions, such as boards made by Eagle, Mikronik, RBM or Elbox. The X-Surf-100 may or may not work in these boards. Although the bus interface is designed to tolerate many mistakes that the vendors of those third-party boards have made, we can only guarantee proper operation in original Commodore daughter boards. Should the card fail to work in such a third-party board, you may have to close the Z2 jumper and downgrade to Z2 speed. For operation in Z3 computers, the Buster-11 chip is recommended. If there is only one DMA master in the Z3 system, a Buster-9 may also be used.

Owners of the Merlin graphics card must have the latest hardware patches installed. Owners of the Mediator PCI/Zorro daughterboard must close the “swap” jumper.

The X-Surf-100 is officially supported in the Linux-m68k kernel.

BigRamPlus is a 256 MByte memory expansion for any Amiga with Zorro-III slots, i.e. Amiga 3000, Amiga 3000T, Amiga 4000 and Amiga 4000T. BigRamPlus is only guaranteed to work with the original daughter boards of these computers. It may or may not work properly with third party bus boards made by Micronik, RBM, Eagle, Elbox, etc. Memory is used by all operating systems up to OS3.9 automatically. Linux/BSD may need special patches to use this memory. AmigaOS 4.0 does not permit the use of a Z3 memory card, the computer won't even boot into the OS. AmigaOS 4.1 can use the card's memory as swap memory. Starting with OS4.1FE, update#1, this memory can be used as main memory. Box contents:
  • BigRamPlus card
  • Instruction sheet
You will need in addition to that:
  • A computer with Z3 slots (Z2 will not work!)

Indivision MK3 AGA for Amiga A1200 and A4000T
Indivision AGA MK3 Flickerfixer for A1200 and A4000T
Indivision AGA MK3 for the A1200 and A4000T* (Not A4000D Desktop) This version of the flickerfixer is designed for the Commodore Amiga 1200, and it can also be used in an A4000T* with minor modifications to the A4000T* mainboard (further details below). Indivision AGA MK3 provides both a VGA connection and HDMI So you have the flexibility of using a CRT/LCD PC monitor with VGA or a large TV with HDMI in. All Amiga screen modes are supported and can be sent to a digital or analogue monitor at almost any frame rate (with the exception of A2024 monitor modes), either using standard VESA modes, or using custom output frequencies and size at the user's choice. Even custom screen modes like HighGFX can be used: Workbench resolutions of 1280x1024 pixels are possible without buying a dedicated graphics card. Indivision AGA Mk3 is plugged over the Lisa chip. For the first time, a second connection is required to take advantage of all features of the product: An additional adapter is clipped on top of a CIA chip to route keyboard signals to the flicker fixer. This gives way for a huge practical improvement over previous versions of the flicker fixer: You can now make small adjustments to the output picture format, including positioning and re-sizing of the output picture without the need to load the configuration tool. While Indivision predecessors required the user to exit a game, load the config tool, make adjustments and then re-boot into the game, you can now open a simple menu using a hot-key combination, make adjustments with the keyboard or mouse and then exit this live configuration menu - all this without leaving the game or demo that's currently running. Output screen modes can be saved "per input screen mode", so you can adjust your favourite Workbench resolution perfectly, while not affecting the settings you've chosen for PAL and NTSC games. Settings are saved in the flash of the flicker fixer, so they survive a reboot and/or power-cycle of the computer this allows you to "zap" through pre-sets that are ideal for a specific game or demo. With this you can adjust on the fly different settings for the built-in scanline effect, or you can compare the scaling capabilities of your monitor with the new built-in scaler of Indivision AGA MK3. The Indivision also has automatic monitor recognition, the configuration tool can detect what size of monitor is connected and make suggestions for ideal output frequencies that are within the specifications of the monitor. This reduces the "first setup" to a matter of minutes, maybe even seconds if you're using one of the pre-sets for popular display panel sizes that we provide.   What's included:
  1. Indivision AGA Mk3 for A1200/A4000T(*)
  2. Adapter board for high-definition digital (HDMI) and VGA output
  3. Adapter board for CIA chip
  4. Connection cables between all boards
  5. Short instructions
In addition, you will require:
  1. Screwdriver to open your computer
  2. A way to transfer the configuration tool (free download from our wiki)
  3. HighGFX software package from Aminet (free download for higher Workbench resolutions)
(*)This flickerfixer will not fit into an A4000T out-of-the-box. Component CE164C gets in the way of the output cable connector and must be replaced with a lower-profile version prior to installing the flickerfixer. We recommend to do this before you order the product!   We also offer a few add-ons below which can be selected:
  • HDMI Blackplate White or Black Trapdoor- This provides a cover with a section for the HDMI port to be accessed under the floppy drive.
  • VGA Blackplate White or Black Trapdoor - This provides a cover with a section for the VGA port to be accessed under the floppy drive.
  • Fan Holder - For those who want a fan to keep the airflow moving withour without fan
Pictures vary, PCB colour is purple.
