Sega Game Gear Recapping Service

Sega Game Gear recapping service for all board revisions. This service is a maintinace service and not a repair service however recapping can bring back to life your Sega Game Gear if it shows the following symptoms:

No or distorted sound
Unresponsive Game Gear when powered on
Dull or no image

The service includes:

Testing of Sega Game Gear via power socket or batteries.
Removal of all old surface and through hole capacitors.
Any leakage cleaned up and prep.
Replacement Electrolytic capacitors soldered in place (Power board, Sound Board and Main board)
Final testing and video taken of unit working.

Please note recapping will not:

Dead screen pixels.
Vertical screen lines.
Unexpected shut downs.

Display issues are down to a failing/dead display, the only solution is to install a replacement upgraded display.

NOTE: This is not a repair service. If a recap is performed and issues are still apparent, the recap service is still chargeable.

Sega Mega Drive & Genesis recapping service inc Sega Genesis inc all board revisions including Mega Drive, Mega Drive 2. This service is a maintenance service and not a repair service however recapping can bring back to life your Sega console if it shows the following symptoms:

No image
Intermittent picture

The service includes:

Testing of Sega Megadrive/Genesis
Removal of through hole capacitors.
Any leakage cleaned up and prepped.
Replacement Electrolytic capacitors soldered in place
Final testing and video taken of unit working.

Recapping can recover common issues however if it does not, the recapping service is still chargeable but will be reduced.

Testing of Sega 32X using a Sega Megadrive MK1 (AKA Sega Genesis)
Removal of through hole capacitors.
Any leakage cleaned up and prepped.
Replacement Electrolytic capacitors soldered in place
Final testing and video taken of unit working.

This service is only for a recapping service for the Sega 32X add-on only.

Any leakage cleaned up and prepped.
Replacement Electrolytic capacitors like for like
Final testing

Sega Dreamcast recapping service which is an extensive service for your Dreamcast which includes:

Mainboard recapped
CD Drive unit recapped
Power Supply (PSU) recapped

We can also offer the GDEMU Optical Drive is a memory card based replacement for the optical drive for Dreamcast VA1 versions we can also offer controller port, battery replacments if required. The service includes:

Testing of Sega Dreamcast Unit
Removal of through hole and SMD Capacitors from mainboard, PSU and optical drive
Any leakage cleaned up and prepped.
Replacement Electrolytic capacitors like for like
Final testing
