No 3.5" floppy disks?
No problem, getting 6 x 3.5" floppy disks that work are in short supply, however we can offer a solution, we have a selection of Gotek drives which replaces your internal 3.5" floppy drive which will enable you to use the AmigaOS ADF files easily just by putting them on a USB stick (available as an option) , Gotek drives are available here Want to know what a Gotek Drive is? What is AmigaOS 3.1.4?

The new, cleaned-up, polished Amiga operating system for your 68K machine fixes all the small annoyances that have piled up over the years. Originally intended as a bug-fix release, it also modernizes many system components previously upgraded in OS 3.9.
Contrary to its modest revision number, AmigaOS 3.1.4 is arguably as large an upgrade as OS 3.9 was, and surpasses it in stability and robustness. Over 320K of release notes cover almost every aspect of your favourite classic AmigaOS -- from bootmenu to datatypes.
Some key features:
  • Over 20 Kickstart ROM modules and many more disk-based core OS components were fixed, updated, or added.
  • Native support for all Motorola 68000-68060 CPUs, and a more robust Auto-Configuration process.
  • Support for large hard disks, including boot, for any OS 2.x/3.x-compliant controller driver supporting HD_SCSI_CMD, TD_64 and/or NSD. Dedicated boot partitions are a thing of the past, even on legacy devices. You can also use variably-sized "super floppies".
  • A modernized Workbench as powerful as the OS 3.9 version, including new or refreshed Preference editors in the legacy OS 3.1-"GadTools" style. Its tools such as DiskCopy and Format fully support large media. Printer, hard disk and many other support tools have been fixed and upgraded.
  • Remember "Diskdoctor"? It earned its PhD and is now ready to reliably rescue data from your floppies or hard disks.
  • The CLI/Shell and many of its commands have been reworked and modernized, now sporting native support for pipes, softlinks, hardlinks and long filenames. New commands support running Workbench programs from the Shell or upgrading ROM modules.
  • CrossDOS and the CD-ROM filesystem are now smarter, faster, and multi-threaded, adding Rockridge and Joliet extensions as well as UDF.
  • Fully reworked, modernized and bug-fixed printer drivers include support for PCL and PostScript, along with legacy NEC and Epson printers.
  • An optional upgradeable intuition.library provides off-screen dragging of windows for native and P96 RTG screens.
  • A colorful, professionally designed icon set is included, along with the traditional four-color icons.

Recapping the Amiga A4000 PSU is a good preventive measure, the reason being these capacitors are under alot of stress (which they are designed to take of course) however with age they start getting tired which could lead to issues later on. All that needs to be sent is the Amiga 4000 PSU itself.

You will need a USB memory stick (NOT included) with your loaded ADF files.
What are ADF files?
ADF files is the standard Amiga Disk Format for floppy disk images. no different to Sega or Nintendo roms, ADF's are images of Amiga floppy disk games. Not only could you have access to a huge back catalogue of retro Amiga games, but there are still brand new games being released today, for example: Raid over Moscow or Bridge Strike these are all available as ADF files. But you not limited to games or programs, but you have access to tons of Amiga demos (if your into that scene).

To do this add any of our recapping services to your shopping basket and then at the checkout simply fill in the billing and shipping form including your telephone and email address (important) and click the 'Request a quote' link. You will receive an email within 24hrs with the shipping cost and you can then proceed with the order by clicking on the 'Complete your order' within the email. When you receive your freshly recapped motherboard back [space_20] Once your board has been returned we strongly suggest testing the board before adding any accessories or putting it back in any shielding (if it was sent without its metal shielding) or case. Many issues arise when the board is then subjected to add-ons being added or put back together without first knowing the board was working in its bare minimum state (PSU, Video/Audio only). We offer 14 days from delivery to notify us of any issues with your recapped board of which we will send you a returns label so we can recheck our work. We do randomly take videos and photos of recapped boards to showcase our work to share on social media and other outlets. Return shipping is calculated at the checkout including £100 cover for loss or damage and we only use tracked services. [space_20] A little bit more about our Amiga recapping service and us! [space_20] We have been recapping Commodore Amiga computers since 2016 and have recapped over 400+ customer boards and 200+ of our own refurbished Amiga units, so you can rest assured that your board is in very safe hands. We use the correct tools and methods for removing old SMD and through-hole capacitors avoiding unnecessary stress being applied to the motherboard or the copper pads themselves. We offer ultrasonic PCB cleaning service where by the motherboard is bathed in a 60 °C deionised water bath combined with a PCB cleaner for 3 mins and then naturally dried for 24 hours. Results will vary depending on the condition of the board. When you receive your board back, you can rest assured your board will be in the best condition to allow you to install any upgrades you have in mind, weather that be a new TF1230, TF1260, PiStorm32-Lite or a simple 8Mb Ram card. And lastly, each board will have a sticker put on with the month/year it was recapped, what type of service was used and if it has been refurbished (ultrasonic clean) or repaired. [space_40]
