What is Refurbished? Each Commodore Amiga A500 mainboard is professionally recapped and deep cleaned using a Ultrasonic cleaner, bathed using deionised water and professional grade PCB/Flux cleaning solution. Once completed it is dried and a full diagnostic test is completed. Each unit is thoroughly inspected make sure the Amiga 500 worked as it did when it first came from the factory back in the 1980’s.   What is Ultrasonic cleaning? Ultrasonic cleaning is a process that uses ultrasound (usually from 20–40 kHz) to agitate a fluid, this fluid is made up for this specific job which is to clean and remove any flux left over from recapping. We use deionised water (deionized depending where your from) and professional grade PCB cleaner. Amiga 500 Plus mainboard remake AKA Raemixx500 is a motherboard clone of the classic A500 Plus REV 8.1A made by SukkoPera and not to be confused with the A500 ++ (A500 Plus Plus). The Raemixx500 is a good alternative to replace your existing broken A500 Plus board using your custom chips or one that is plug and play and soaked tested with all the custom chips included. The Raemixx500 board has had a few improvements added compared to the original A500 Plus board:
  • Kickstart Switches - You can burn your Eproms and have 2 different kickstarts and use the jumpers or add switches to switch between kickstarts
  • DF0 Switch - Again becoming a must for Amiga owners to have both a internal Gotek and external drive or vice-versa, best of both worlds!This is a fully built A500 Plus Raemixx500 board with all the custom chips and is plug and play, simply add your own kickstart rom or add one of the options below.

Amiga A1200 motherboard fully refurbished (various motherboard revisions). Each A1200 motherboard is professionally refurbished and has had the following work completed:
  • Tested before any work has began.
  • All electrolytic capacitors removed using professional tools and techniques (no twisting off caps and boards a pre-warmed before the removing capacitors using hot air) this puts far less stress to the board itself.
  • Pads cleaned with flux/wick/IPA.
  • New electrolytic capacitors installed using our premium polymer capacitors.
  • Modulator removed.
  • Timing fix applied for ACA , TF1230, TF1260 Accelerator Cards.
  • Board retested - Video (composite and RGB), Audio, CIA, Floppy, IDE, Parallel, Serial, Mouse, Joystick, DF1.
  • Board ultrasonic cleaned at 60 degrees using deionised water and professional PCB flux cleaner and then dried.
  • Board tested again and tested for a minimum of 4 hrs playing a rolling demo.

What are USB HID Ports?
USB human interface device is a part of the USB specification for computer peripherals: it specifies a device class (a type of computer hardware) for human interface devices such as keyboards, mice, game controllers and alphanumeric display devices. Using USB HID Ports
  • After inserting USB HID devices (mouse, gamepad, keyboard + mouse combo) require to override the CD32 onboard game ports and are disabled and you need to use USB devices. You cannot mix and match. Override is indicated by LED2. Only a USB Keyboard can be used with the onboard CD32 game ports.
Supported USB devices: Most standard USB HID mouse, keyboards and PC Gamepads. Some mouse with more than 3 buttons don't work correctly, and combos with Bluetooth receivers.
